Your Wiki on a Stick is a great tool to guide you through the program and the locations and to give you a deeper insight into the interests of the presenters.

If you have trouble launching the Wiki on a Stick on your PC then simply access the public version of it. Find it here: [1].

Using it during the conference

  • Browse the conference events by date by navigating to the main conference program.
  • Click on ISWC Conference events (in the navigation toolbar) to find all ongoing and upcoming conference events.
  • Interested in who's talking and what his (research) interests are? Click on ISWC people to browse for all presenters or search for a particular name.
  • Where ever you find the label "Add a note" you can enter a note (e.g. to presentations, tracks or people).
  • You can also collect bookmarks by navigating to "Add Bookmark" (in the navigation bar)
  • Keeping contact data of people you've met:
    • Search for a specific person using the search box in the upper right corner of the Wiki on a Stick
    • If this person is not contained in the Wiki then the search will not yield a result and you can add a new person by clicking on "Add contact"
    • If this person is already contained in the Wiki you will get a search hit in the "Search Results" or in the "Combined Search". Simply click on the search result and open the tab "edit with form". Enter the contact details into the form and tick the "Personal contact" tick box.

Re-using the data after conference

Find all the bookmarks you and others have taken down:

  • List of all the notes ("List of all notes")
  • List of the bookmarks can be found ("List of bookmarks")

Find all personal contacts:

  • List of all personal contacts is kept here: "List of all contacts"
  • You can easily download the contact details of a particular person when clicking on "vcard".
  • After downloading the vcard, a form pops up and is instantaneously filled with the contact details (if you have MS Outlook installed).

Query the data from within your Excel client!

Learn here how to attach your Excel client to either the public Wiki (allows SPARQL queries) or your personal Wiki on a Stick: Attaching Excel to a Wiki
