Introduction

Wiki admins can use the Deployment Framework to easily install, de-install and update packages (i.e. MW extensions and content bundles) from a repository of their choice. Furthermore MW extension developers and providers of wiki content bundles can use it to publish their packages.

How-to and FAQ

Wiki admins

First, you need to download and install the Deployment Framework. Then you can immediately start using the Deployment Framework's Admin tool and obtain MW extensions (and content bundles) from our pre-configured repository.
What is contained in the ontoprise repository?
This article explains the contents of the ontoprise repository, i.e. what MW extensions and content bundles are available and in which version or release.
What is required to be able to install/update/remove packages using a repository?
The requirements are described in the documentation of the SMW+ admin tool. This article also describes the actual commands for installing, de-installing, updating packages and so on.
How can I change the pre-configured ontoprise repository?
The Deployment Framework can be configured to use other repositories, than our pre-configured one. Read here how to do that.

MW extension developers

As a developer of MW extensions you can employ the Deployment Framework for distributing and publishing your extensions. Read this article on how to prepare and actually distribute your extension (via our repository).

Wiki content providers

You have created a useful wiki content bundle (e.g. a wiki application based on semantic queries, templates and forms) and want to make it available to other users? This manual explains how to create and distribute your bundle (using the ontoprise repository).

Repository providers

You might want to set-up your own repository as a source for extensions and content bundles that are accessible via the Deployment Framework. This article tells you how you can do that.
